Child Matters

Many of you will be aware that our school has enjoyed Healthy Schools Status since 2007 and that as a school we continually strive to maintain this valuable status so as to ensure the healthy development of our children and staff and to provide a healthy setting for living, learning and working. I am really pleased to say that our commitment to health promotion is reflected in our last Ofsted Report where the inspectors graded us as “Outstanding” with regards to children adopting healthy lifestyles.
We are very lucky to have a wonderful Child Matters Working Party (formerly Healthy Schools Working Party) which meets and works on themes linked to healthy lifestyles and then promotes and implements initiatives and changes within the school. On this Working Party there are representatives from the whole school community who kindly commit their time and support to this worthwhile initiative. At present, we meet about once a month and the meetings are very informal and relaxed.
We held our first meeting of the school year on Tuesday 15 November at 6.00pm. We would really welcome new members to our team, so if you feel that you would like to join the Working Party and help us continue our good work please come along! If you would like to come could just email me on uwilmshurst@cromwellpark.cambs.sch.uk.
I look forward to hearing from you.
