Year 5 - Miss Desmond - Diamond
Welcome to Year 5 Diamond class my name is Miss Desmond. Working with us this year is the incredible
Mrs Dawson. In Diamond class we enjoy learning together and we have many exciting topics planned in for this year. Our classroom environment is really important to us; we have an exciting role play area, which changes with our topic; a class set of laptops and lots of great resources to help us with our learning. We are looking forward to a great year as Year 5 Diamonds and hope to learn together to be the best we can be and model those seven important aspects of our Cromwell code by showing: Care, respect, outstanding behaviour, manners, welcoming, enthusiasm, laughter and leading the way!
In Year 5 and 6 our Topic this half-term is ‘They think it's all over’ We will be:
- exploring solids, liquids and gases and investigating reversible and irreversible changes
- creating an art gallery based on movement in sport
- investigating cause and effect within the field of geography
- creating our own games both in PE and ICT
- looking at how the past can be represented in different ways
